Bale ruled out of El Clasico

Real Madrid must cope up without the Welshman.

Barcelona are handed a sigh of relief after Gareth Bale is injured and set to miss El Clasico.

Real Madrid's Gareth Bale has been suffering from an abdominal injury and is set to miss Real's clash against Barcelona this week.

The Welshman picked up a muscle injury during training and will be missed for two weeks. Real Madrid coach earlier insisted in a press during Liverpool match that Bale is suffering from a "gluteus injury" and will miss the clash against Liverpool and Barcelona.

"We have a few days to evaluate the situation of Bale, Benzema, Varane and Ramos about fitness issues".

"Bale have a problem with his gluteus. It wasn't a player rotation" the Italian confirmed.

With Bale injured, Madrid might swith to 4-4-2 formation with Luke, Kroos, James and Illara starting in midfield with Cristiano and Benzema in attack.

Madrid can also play 4-2-3-1 with Benzema in front and Ronaldo, James and Modric behind him. Kroos and Illara will be the 2.
